Edguns shipping again?
I’ve noticed a couple of people mention that their Edguns were coming in this week. Does this mean that people can order them or be put on the waiting list again? What are the deposit amounts for the various models? I queried Tony a couple of times but he must have been busy.
Thanks,
-John

Good news, indeed, Trygve!
When your mountain of guns finally arrive, I’ll expect some target shooting videos while driving your speed boat – a Matador in each hand π
Thanks mate ! π
But certainly a spell checker like the one they have on the BSA forum could be useful at times….. π
Cheers from Oslo…..
Hi zocoloco,
Your command of the English language better than most native speakers, and certainly better than my Norwegian π

Thanks Hoot ! π
Now, as I don’t use cal.25 much, ED and I agreed the cal.25 will be sent to the US instead as the demand there is bigger. Here good cal. 25 ammo is hard to get, and I have to import most of it myself.
For me it’s cal. 22 and .177 all the way. Airgun hunting is illegal in this country so cal.25 is not really needed much. Also in my experience the available cal.25 ammo does not match the performance of high end cal.25 guns at high power. I have the DS AirRanger 80 in cal.25 and it does not matter what ammo I use, – it shoots like a shotgun. You’re lucky if you hit a barndoor at 50 yds, – if at all the barn itself. My Rapid (50 ft/lbs) does a much better job and is actually quite accurate. Has to do with lower f/ps. It seems to me that ammo producers have not yet come up with pellets good enough for high velocities. That is if accuracy is what you’re after…..
Daystate knows this, – and I actually use the AR80 for demonstration purposes as an example of how bad it can get if power is all you ask for. The “high power market” in my opinion is mainly a US thing where “big is beautiful” etc. etc. and where for some power is all they’re after… π―
I am indeed looking forward to receiving my Matadors now, and keep fingers crossed shipment will not cause problems as in the past. Estonia is just across the pond from here, – and usually there are no restrictions on shipments of any kind. In theory I could fetch my R3s myself (a few hours by my speed boat on calm waters), – but I’m much too lazy…
Some may wonder why three Matadors in cal.22. Actually I don’t need more than two, but initially my order was for two of the old model. When the R3 turned up, I immediately ordered. So now there are 3 R3s on order. It may be reduced to two only. One for me, – and one to be circulated among firearms dealers in this country for marketing purposes. The third one may have to wait until the multishot version is available later this year (hopefully….).
As for future, I have a standing order with ED to be on top of the list whenever a new model is released, – like R4, R5, R6 etc. etc. etc….. π
Pics and reviews will follow as soon as I have them…… π
Stay tuned and kindly excuse my English. Norwegian is my mother tongue….. π³
Zoco, you deserve the shipment, as you have posted a lot of money up front, and waited with more patience, and grace, than most of us would have.
I am confident that you will be very pleased when they arrive and I am especially interested in the 6mm rifle and its performance. I wonder if it has a new, more robust valve?
Glad to hear your good news.
Possibly coming out of Estonia and all of us await your pics and impressions.

4. Matador R3 β 2688, standard, 5.5 (unpaid)
5. Veles β 0572, 5.5 (unpaid)
With the best regards
Ed”
The question remains of course: When and how…….. π
Stay tuned……… π

Don’t they teach you guys anything in Arkansas? His last name was “the baptist.” Duh! π
Are you by any chance the same “John” who wrote “Revelations” which seems to be all the rage today???

PS: Today’s mystery bible question: What was “John’s” last name?
Damn, I was trying to figure out what the heck an “rif” is. I thought it might be what you called those Arkansas walmart hotties that you keep raving about. Here are a few acronyms that I came up with which might apply:
“righteous in form”
“remember, it’s free”
“racy intimate females”
“rolling in fat”
Over on this end of the world, they hang out on the beaches wearing skimpy outfits and are sometimes called land whales.

My prior post didn’t get fully printed. So I corrected it, as seen above.

PS: Did you know there is a “Peckerwood Lake” in Arkansas?
It’s on the internet and apparently a vacation spot to camp and fish at.
Those rifles were received outside of the U.S. Edguns continue to sell, but some live close enough to Russia to simply go over and pick one up. Perhaps others were picked up or shipped from Estonia, but we in the U.S. need to wait further.
This opinion is based on observation of the posts and their place of origin, not from any “insider” information. Any rumors that I am Ed’s illegitimate son are totally untrue.
Kindest regards,
Uncle Hoot π―
