Q:

emachine shop

Saw this on “beyond tomorrow”

Looks like any part that you can design can be made for you.

At what price?

With fee software.

I called their customer service line yesterday, had to leave a message. Got a call back from a nice lady. They are stilll very much in buisness.

Used them once a long time ago. Their proprietary design software was a joke. I guess if you knew nothing of CAD then it might have been easy to use (albiet extremely limited in capabilites).

They where very pricey but convientent. Cost me $400 for a part that I had made again by a local shop for $180. I liked the idea behind them, they made machine shops more approachable to the everyday tinkerer. It can be hard to get a shop to respond to you if you are new at design or working with machinists.

They where not a machine shop persay but more of a broker that had most things machined overseas somewhere (prob china) I think he does do some small PCB work in house.

Shame they went out, if its true. I hate to see any business fail.

Looks like they went broke…lol Options on home page are not working..
