Q:

end cap shift

I noticed today that the end cap on my condor cocks a little when i fire it. If i loosen the set screw and put the end cap back flush and tighten the set screw then fire the end cap pulls away from the frame slightly on the top side opposite the set screw. Is this normal? does everyone’s end cap look like that? I am pretty sure its not getting clipped there are no marks and i dont get flyers and looking down the barrel it is not in the way of the bore.

Yeah I have 2 on all my guns to hold the shrouds on. .308 moves some air.

Thats the funny thing is the end cap is so tight i cannot pull it out after removing the set screw. But i did think about putting one on the top just to insure it does not move enough to clip pellets.

Obviously, the end cap is a poor fit for your frame.

Personally, I would wrap it with consecutive layers of cellophane tape until it fits without excess slop.
Then, the set screw should hold it in place with no noticeable movement if tightened adequately.

The best way to stop that is to put another set screw on the top.

Try to screw the screw alittle more

likely just the air pressure blowing it out. I have shot several shrouds across the yard. Have you had your 1st air dump yet? If not its something very exciting you can look forward too 😛
A screw on end cap would have made for a much tighter unit 😕
