Oh, cool!
I have been known to use a spray on dry lube to pellets that does flash off to get supersonic speeds when shot from air rifles.

Its a little dicey on the lighter weight pellet rifles .

quote Rowdy:

I don’t know about a moly grease, if made from products that burn; that can flash off when hpa hits it.

I would use a dielectric type grease or a non-flammable, just to be on the safe side…

Don’t use it inside the AT on the outside it’s fine, bin using it for tread anti seize for years.

I’d use some moly grease on the treads to help pervent any reoccurrence.

Yeah, it wasnt’ easy on any of my Taipan rifles. I had to take the shroud off, put the pins in the end cap, and then secure the pins in a vice while twisting the whole shroud to get it loose. Just take your time and don’t go crazy on gripping the shroud and you will be ok. I didn’t use any pliers, grips, or other tools on the shroud, just turned it by hand and it finally broke loose and unscrewed right out. I’m sure you could also do it without taking the shroud off, but will be a little awkward trying to turn the whole rifle. Big potential issue with trying to do it while on the rifle is it turning with the set screw locked down and potentially scratching up the barrel I would guess.

Good luck

Gary

I got it off. I talked to Matt at RL Airguns and he suggested using a big crescent wrench on the two pins. It came off but it wasn’t that easy.
