Q:

Ernest Tuned 25 finding

I sent my 25 to Ernest for a repair and tune a couple of months ago now. One of the most noticeable differences I’ve found is that the barrel doesn’t foul near as easy as it did before he polished it. Before I’d get gobs of lead flakes on the first couple of wetted patches I pulled through and then it would take another 6-8 to get it clean. Now I’m only getting a few flakes on the first patch and then nothing to speak of on the following patch. It’s now about a 4 patch cleaning process. It’s very smooth indeed. Thanks Ernest.

My barrel on mine stays very clean too. I did polish it myself. I Also lube my pellets too. I can easily shoot a 350 tin without needing a cleaning. Mine does not like the Benjamin domes at all. Maters a fact its not too fond of the 2014 batch 25 cal jabs. It shoots them ok but not real tight.

As an added bonus my Cricket now shoots Benjamin 27.8’s very very well 😆 😆 😆

When you polish your original barrel which come with cricket you would repair it 😀

Many folks mention about barrel polishing. How can it be done?

Glad to hear that the issue with your gun has been resolved Gracklesmacker !
