eun jin
shooting a 24″ condor .22, wondering how fast you can push a 28.5 gr eun-jin without loosing accuracy? Are there any heavier projectiles in .22 cal that might work better @ 100 yds? Thanks

I must of got off topic, sorry I thought we were talking 25’s instead of .22, I have never tested the 22 Eun Jins.
hummmmmm, i had them perform better faster, in the 700 ‘. 800’s the 32 grain sucked the 28 grain better than the 32 grain, but get them in the high 900’s and they tightened up nicely, the 32 grain will shoot 1″ to 1 1/4″ at 50 yards at 1050 fps to 1100 fps, out of my condor,
but slow them down to 970’s or so and they will shoot 1/2″ 5 shot groups.
several 32 grain groups at 50 yards , and a few 21 grain kodiak groups, and 1 28 grain eunjin group .
I was looking for the velocity that the pellets wanted here,

I was shooting at 50 yrds and slow like 860-880 and they were shooting better slower then faster, about 1and 1/2 in. group. 2 in. faster like 940-950.
RiffRaff,
Same here with the groups. Not KODIAK or BENJI DOMES or KINGS accurate but they clustered into a group and didn’t go past that groups size consistently. I killed a Jack Rabbi at about 146 yards while shooting off hand and i was damned extactic about it and remember quite vividly the HUGE dust cloud they kicked up once it exited the rabbit. It was very clear to me on that day JUST HOW POWERFUL AIRGUNS ARE.
I was pushing them right at 940 FPS for 82+ FPE in my TalonDor25 and could get about 10 good shot before POI started to drop off with each shot or 2.
They are built a little different.
Im my 25 condor, they pointed outshot the domed Eun Jins.
Try yourself a tin
Exact same for me, with both barrels.
They still don’t shoot up to expectations though. They at least fly straight, the group sizes don’t get dis-proportionately worse the longer the range.
Heres a very old 30 shot group with the 43gr pointed EJs, at 100 yards. One fill, not tethered.
The overall group is about 3.5″. Top center diamond was aim point, 880 fps if I remember correctly, may have been faster.
Hell if it weren’t for all those “flyers” around that little cluster…

at what speed do you shoot them?
Pointed Eun Jins arent the same as the Beeman-RWS-GAMO-Crosman..etc..etc.etc brand of pellets.

i’ve seen the pointed 32 grain doing a nice job at 100m
speed 984 fps
gun evanix ar6 tuned
Pointed pellets are not going to be accurate at a distance. The head shape is wrong. Causes more of a air turbulence, which causes a more unstable pellet flight. Round nose pellets are your best bet.
I’m with Glenn.
I’ve shot both of the Eun Jin’s with my Condor and groups horribly any further than 35-40 yards and even at that distance a 1″ kill zone is not likely.
Use an accurate pellet.
It sucks to miss. 😯
Ill give the baracuda’s a try. havent tried the 32gr eun-jin, all the other pointed tip pellets I have tried didnt group well. Has any one had good luck with the 32gr pointed? Havent tried the 28.5 gr any faster than 960 fps, I figured they would group worse the faster they get but I might have to try it.
X2 on the H&N’s
Eun Jin makes a 32g pellet.

my condor loves them
Yea, most people dont like them but they seem to be the most acurate I can find for my gun. Shooting them at 960 fps. Might have to tune it down a little & try some lighter pellets. I have been shooting woodpeckers & crows between 100 & 130 yds but not as consistant as I would like. Heavier pellets seem to hit a lot harder at that distance.

Ordered some 32.4 gr eun jin’s but cant find any 21.14 gr baracuda’s with the 5.53 mm head anywhere. If someone here has some they would like to sell I would sure like to try them. Thanks mphunts
