Eunjin’s accuracy tip …
Since upgrading my Standard 18″ Talon to HPA last week I have been testing heavier pellets in my gun. Kodiaks shoot well right out of the tin but I was hoping that the Eunjins would perform well in my gun because I have a Condor bottle and hammer on the way.
Out of the tin the accuracy with the Eunjin’s was ok but not great. I tried lubing them with KryTech and suddenly I was getting these fliers that would open up the group by nearly 2 inches at 22 yards … my indoor shooting distance.
I took a closer look at the tins of Eunjin’s I bought and noticed an oily film on the pellets. I poured the pellets out of a tin and in the bottom there was a thick film of oil with a lot of lead flakes stuck in it.
I took 100 of the pellets and washed them in a bowl with Lacquer Thinner. I rinsed them in thinner 3 times to make sure all of the oil residue was gone. After pouring off the thinner I dumped them into a thick bath towel and got them as dry as I could. Then I transferred them to a micro fiber cloth and made them as clean as possible.
Next I lubed them with KryTech and let them dry for 10 minutes.
I started shooting groups again and the results were dramatic ! My group sizes shrunk to less than half of what they were and the fliers were completely gone. Suddenly the Eunjin’s were grouping just as well as the Kodiaks 😀
As soon as I can do some shooting outdoors I’ll report what my groups look like at 40+ yards. Washing off that factory oil and using a wax lube made one hell of a difference in my rifle … give it a try ! ➡ Steve

I read where Tim over at MAC1 was promoting the use of KryTech on pellets so I ordered a couple of bottles. In one of my rifles it had the opposite effect desired … groups went to hell.
In my Talon both the Eunjins and the Kodiaks have shown improvement with the use of it … depends on your barrel I guess 🙂
Kry Tech is sold here in Europe as an bicycle chain wax. When your groups are really better ,whats about to grease the barrel inside with a thin coat of that wax??? Some guy´s here around use LT 1 on their pellets, wich is a kind of spray oil. It seems to be a philosophy if it works or not.
I will test the wax next time if its available in the bike shop.

We got a break from the wind this evening and measured off 42 yards in the backyard.
Groups with the Eunjins ran 1/2″ to 3/4″ with one beautiful little group measuring just 3/8ths of an inch. Quite an improvement with the wax lube vs the old factory oil on the pellets 😀

Yea, they definetly have some kind of crap on them because I weighed about 100 kodiaks the other night, then 100 EJs and there was a little bit of gunk on the scale tray after I got done with the EJs.
That sounds like a good idea. The Eunjin’s seem to have plane old oil on them 😕 Thanks for the tip

I have seen some of my guns do that but on the one’s that need Kryrech it’s the best. My Condor is fine with out it, but I may try it out on the Big Eunjin’s.
