ExactKing Heavies, Mk I vs Exact King Heavies, Mk II
I’ve been curious as to which of the JSB Exact King Heavies works best in my Cricket so I got a few tins of each and tried them out. But before I say anything else, this test was anything but scientific and the results reflect how these shoot in MY gun. Your mileage may vary. But I know which ones I’ll be ordering exclusively from now on.
I set the Cricket up on a Primos shooting stand (to take my shooting skills out of the equation) and set the target out on a table at 50 yards, shooting directly into roughly 8-10 mph headwinds, in the prone position..
Both pellets traveling at around the 860 fps velocity.
I used one magazine and split the shots between targets. I was racing the light so got 4 targets/5 shots each with the EKH’s Mk II and two targets one at 5 shots (A) the second at 7 shots (B) before losing the light. These are the best groups I’ve gotten at 50 yds with this rifle so that says something.
Target 1. Exact King Heavies, MK II

Target 2. Exact King Heavies, Mk I

It’s getting warmer and the days are getting longer…..Happy shooting!

Very interesting. Should be getting my .25 back from Ernest soon. Having him tune it to shoot the heavies. FPS set at 895 w the Mk I. Not the greatest shot count (27 from 220 to off reg) but not my biggest criteria. Purely hunting gun so shot count / fill not a big deal.
ER only had Mk II to test with so I will try both.
I would’ve thought the Mk II would perform better.
What is your shot count?
What does ur gun shoot the 25.4 Kings at FPS?
