Expectations from a SHORT Bullpup
I have spent most of the morning reading posts about the short platform bullpups.
I am amazed at what people expect from this type of airgun. What are YOUR expectations???
Would people who own a short bullpup please respond with results you are getting from WHATEVER manufacturer……
I have a mutant shorty with the Korean barrel that shoots better than 1/4 inch at 25 yards. I have never shot it past 35 yards and my expectation is that would be the maximum range to shoot it.
Your thoughts???

This puts you as being the BEST SHOOTERs in the WORLD.
I checked the scores from the Extreme Benchrest and the top score was a 190. It went down quickly from there.
The nine ring is 1.25 inches across. If these guys could just hit the nine ring 25 times they would score a 225. And, these are some of the best shooters in the world.

Experience and physics dictate that airguns with short barrels are unlikely to hit consistently at 100 yards.
The lands on the fake German barrels, are so shallow.
They are almost non existent. You almost are just shooting from a smooth bore.
And gets worse over time, accuracy goes down hill fast. 😯
This is what is to be expected out of a shorty 40 yards 15.9s 860 fps ….
This one does one tiny pellet whole at 27 yards… ( this is not my barrel either, just ensuring accuracy)
When outfitted Properly the Shorty will stay right there with the Best.
1 inch at 50 Yards is a fucking JOKE…. yes. This is 2016
The German Barrels are Trash… Complete Trash. They need to be thrown out.
Steve maybe you should watch my Mutant short video. I hit a shotgun shell and 3 soda cans in a row at 183 yards with a short. I also hit several paint balls at 100 yard This was a non-sponsor video, no one paid me a dime to make that video. What’s my expectation? Sub MOA.

You think you need a long barrel gun for performance? Wrong, even firearms are getting shorter. Some long range shooters are switching to short stiff barrels.
Watch Travis run this blackout like a boss at over 700 meters and tell me a short gun can’t perform. If you don’t want to watch the whole video skip to the 11 min mark

My expectation at this level is 1/2″ ctc at 50 yards, indoors off bags/rest. I don’t think that’s a lot to ask from what’s being sold as a high-quality pcp. My intent was to use the shorty as a 50 yard and under critter hunting gun, but I’m scattering shots at that range, so with the German barrel it’s no good to me. I can’t have confidence in a clean kill. Hopefully I didn’t just pay $1000 bucks for a backyard bbq plinker.
