Factory hammer weights or heavier one piece?
I’m wondering what most of you have in your Condors and if it made much of a difference?

No hammer weight is needed. You replace the factory hammer and weight with my one piece hammer.
The hammer also has a spring guide, so it runs smoother.

Does that also have the extra hammer weight too?
Lee, my Condor from Tony @ Talon Tunes has a 90 gram hammer and sends Jerry’s 73 grain slugs @ 107+ fpe. Pretty impressive if you like that option. Also shoots 31 grain Kodiaks very well, about 960 fps @ 30 yards.

A 100 grm. hammer is plenty more then fac., I think all you can do maybe for more power is turn the top hat out till you notice a decrease in speed then set at previous setting.
It’s too hard for me to guess. I suppose there might be a pressure and factory hammer weight combination that would give those numbers but for how many shots I wouldn’t know.
Funny you should chime in Jerry. I’m shooting you slugs with a 100 gram hammer in an 18″ barrel. I haven’t even started any testing other than a few shots over the chrony. I shot the 6 rings at 770 fps for 86 ftlbs. Would the factory condor weight give me those numbers?
The only time you should need a heavy hammer is if you are using a high fill and want to send pellets ss/ hurl extra heavies. Otherwise a light hammer will always be the prefered option, for many reasons.
What do you mean “only time?” Why on earth would anyone not want to hurl extra heavies? 😆
A hammer that you can easily adjust for weight is the ideal hammer.
