Favorite 22xx got a new dress

I posted this build maybe 6-8 weeks ago. I got lucky with parts and barrel quality even after doing my own cut and recrown. This thing shot better than ANY 22xx I’ve touched. But I learned very quickly that the holds for a rifle scoped pistol and I just don’t get along. I tried a pistol scope on it but it just felt wrong.

BUT, when benched I was able to drop 4 of 5 pellets in less than an inch at 30y. However, if i’m going to bench a gun, I’d rather have a rifle.

On a completely unrelated train of thought…. I came across a stock inletted for a 2260 tube and a 22xx pistol grip. I grabbed it up thinking I’d swap tubes and drop my .177 LW barreled 22xx into it. When I went to grab the gun to start swapping parts I kept thinking…’man, I want the rifle to shoot just like that pistol’ then the duh moment hit me.

Kept all the working parts from above (including the valve, hammer and spring) but obviously had to swap out the tube and lose the grips and power adjuster. Here’s what I ended up with:

It’s dark out side but I made one (large) hole with 5 shots at 10m offhand, a hole half as big benched at 20y. I’ll try some 30y groups in the morning (my solar target lights seem to have gotten moved when the wifey cut the grass)
