Q:

Fight to the Death! Vulcan vs Mutant

Ok, I wanna see a nice good fight here about which bullpup I should get.

Vulcan or Mutant standard? I’ve already owned a Vulcan 1st gen and liked it, but is the Mutant standard the better gun? Not rich like some if you guys where u can buy both and take my pick.

Only looking for opinions from people who have actually owned both of the specified guns.

Thanks guys!

Never had a Mutant , so I can not tell you anything about it . However , I do have a .25 first gen. Vulcan with (1) new Gen. 4 threaded
shroud , (2) Trigger spring Slap mod , (3) Evgeny new Side Lever mod , (4) donnyfl 1.5″ x 7 5/8″ LDC and shooting Kings Heavy pellets
nothing flies away at 48 yards . I did put this gun up for sell to buy the .25 Mutant Shorty before I had Mods # 1 , 3 , and 4 added to my
gun . I really love shooting this gun and I don’t think that I will ever put this gun up for sell ever again for me this gun meets and fulfills
all of my needs and also makes for me a great truck shooting gun . :8: :8: :8:

FROM : THE BIRDMAN

Ive had Mutants from Day 1 …. and i wanted to see what all the hoopla was about the vulcan (plus wanted a .25).

Well really wish i could of rented one for the weekend…. i sold it for a loss shortly after buying it.

first complaint… I thought i was going to snap the cocking bolt off trying to load a pellet.. It chambered that hard.

I ended up removing the barrel and cutting a taper for the pellet to enter… so i fixed that issue.

I wasn’t impressed by the trigger ( could be the mutant has me spoiled)

My hands don’t fit the grip all that well…. Anyhow needless to say i decide it wasn’t for me and sold it…

The new side-cocking lever is what’s drawing me back to the Vulcan…..but never having shot the Mutant still has me wondering!

Hi- I had the same decision to make.

I got the Vulcan .25 as I found a good deal on a 3rd gen. And – I am a lefty and liked the mid-cocking PLUS now they have a biathlon cocking lever and it’s ambidextrous as well.

If you don’t mind the rear cocking, the Mutant has a bit higher power factor I believe. I have heard they are both super accurate and reliable.

Personally, I probably would have gone with a regulated WARP in either .25 or .30 if I had this to do over again…however (Vulcan) Evgeny’s customer service is legendary 🙂 I have had communication issues with WARp but perhaps due to holiday season…
