Fill gauge not moving
I was filling my tank from a scuba tank today at the local dive shop and noticed the the gauge was not moving. Tank was filled, don’t know how much, cause the weight of the tank changed. Any idea what happened, the DIN fill set was new, only used 3 or 4 time before today?

IMHO: You would need a second, known ‘GOOD’ gauge inline with the ‘UNKNOWN\BAD’ gauge and some way to regulate the pressure being applied to the gauge being tested. So you can slowly raise the air pressure being applied and also monitor air pressure being applied. Since there is a chance of a catastrophic failure here, proceed with great caution!
Gauges are not that expensive, is yours under warranty by chance? Send it back to the OEM for warranty service.

If you do install a new gauge be careful with the teflon tape, to prevent it going into the air inlet hole into the new gauge as it would cause the new one to fail.

Can I test the gauge with a compressor by just blocking the whole where the tank screws in and putting the compressor air outlet on the other? Whats the procedure to replace AF gauge on the fill adapter (its screwed on pretty tight and it sealed with a white tape). Thk for the info Sam.
Sounds like time to replace that gauge! You may want to pluck it a couple of times with your finger to see if it’s stuck. Trash can work it’s way into the gauge and lock it up. My Airforce refill adapter had thread sealer work it’s way into the pressure gauge and it would move partially and always stop at the same place regardless how much pressure above that level was applied.
Had to replace the gauge that was bad from the OEM.

I will go to my usual fill place next week, to see if the gauge is working now. I cleaned some thing out of the fill adapter, might have clogged the side hole for the gauge, if not is goes back to over the pond for warranty service.
