Fill Port what do you guys use?
seen and old post on fill ports for the Edgun! As owners you know they come with a plastic cover! do any of you guys that own one use anything else? The older post I seen just got me to thinking 😯 Tony posted some port filler plugs, but seems like something that looked good would be nice to have! Let me know what you guys think! You to Hoot!! and Oldgoat!!

Skygear that is 3M fiber tape I got the idea from Noddles he had done his and I like the looks of it, mine is just a stock shroud Noddles had a longer one made! Fairly easy to put on just thought it made for a better look 😯

Had a bit of extra time yesterday so made me a fill port plug for my Edgun the end can be made it different shapes I just choose this one easy to grap on to and not real big can be made even smaller but this one seems to be easy to grab on to! anyway works and looks pretty good 😯 below pictures of Edgun probe plugs are for sale if anyone wants one let me know just send me a pm thanks Eddie

@ fannman that is comprehensive enough for me. I am getting my hunting vehicle ready at the moment so it will be a few days before I can get a few turned.
My 3 Edguns didn’t come with a fill port plug. I don’t worry about it. If some dirt did get into the fill port, I think that the probe’s first O ring would push it out of the way and the fill passageway would be wiped clear. If/when I ever get some dirt into the gun and it causes any problems, the gun is really easy to take apart!
I take mine apart just because I like to mess with them! The internals are so simple that I don’t think a piece of dirt would clog up any of the air passageways. I think that it would go right thru and out the barrel.
When I say simple, don’t get me wrong! The internals are very well designed and the gun is built to take a lot of abuse. I always think of a combination of a Swiss watch and a Russian tank. You guys that don’t have one yet will see what I mean if/when you get one.
I just bought a new old stock 25 cal BSA Lone Star just for the barrel. I plan on trying the barrel on my R3 25 cal. I have a parts schematic for the BSA and it looks like I could rebuild 3 Edguns in the time that it will take me to just get the damn barrel off of the Lone Star!
i know this is probably overkill on the pics but thats how they came out, i used brass for mine and had some o rings laying around not sure of exact size these could be made of aluminum or nylon, hope this helps, the pics are of the actual fill probe
I have a small lathe, I could turn some. But again, I normally don’t do any mods, or make items for gear I don’t own.
What are the dimensions on that? spacing on everything?
What type of round bar did you use?
What size ‘O’ rings?
I don’t own ANY PCP’s to test these in either, nor do I have a friend locally to test anything.
As far as a timeframe on when my R3 will be in? Your guess is as good as mine. Tony has told m I am on the list for an R3, but no official timeline other than ‘a few months’.
