Fill Problems

I have become the proud possessor of one of Joe Brancato’s Guppies. It works just dazzlingly well on my Hatsan Rifles and SamYang big bore, but it dumps and will not fill from my Talons and my Hatsan pistol.

These fill fine from scuba tanks with the same probes and hoses, but when they are attached to the 4500 psi Guppy, no dice. As a matter of fact with the Hatsan pistol, it empties totally when I open the release valve on the carbon fiber tank (yes, the fill valve is closed when I open the release valve!)

I’m using the quick disconnect adapter on my Talons. Doesn’t matter if it’s the high flow tank or the standard tank – I just get a big hisssss from the tank, and no air enters. Scuba tank, fine. Carbon tank, no.

I’d sure like to use this tank on my Talons in the field. I’ve ordered a pair of Tank Adapters from Tony, with the gauges and the fill nipple. Will these work, he said hopefully? 🙁
