Q:

Finally done

Well started this project a few weeks back but finally had the time to finish it today. I originally bought my .25 with a synthetic stock but also wanted a lighter weight stock for those long walks while I was camping in the desert. So a quick call to Steve over at Wild West Airguns and I had myself a Walnut skeleton stock sitting on my door step 2 days later. And today here is what I have.

Tell me what you guys think.
Forgot I’m not completely done have to add the butt pad but am working on an adjustable spacer first

Yeah Bullpup stocks are pricey but thats the price we pay to participate in this hobby.

Man, someone needs to find out how much the walnut stock cost!

I actually missed a synthetic stock on yellow for $110. But $150 is not that much more

I ordered a synthetic stock for mine. I have a skeleton walnut and want to mount a bipod on the synthetic. I want to use the synthetic on rough outings. I can’t see myself putting a rail on my walnut.

can I ask how much you paid for the synthetic stock?

I retract my last criticism. Way better looking in the light! I like the grips and logo. Next time you’re in the desert get some pics in the terrain. Good job!

Sorry taken with cellphone so not great.

take a picture outside, please.

I like it.

good desert color, but I would do the shroud and airtube too.

looks nice :8: :8: if you dont mine, how much did you pay for that used stock?

If you don’t mind honesty? I don’t like it….maybe its the pinkish tones from the pillow with the lighting but it looks pinkish. That textured spray paint doesn’t look inviting on the cheek piece either, unless you have a beard full of crabs 😳 Sorry my fellow CA brother, but its not my cup of tea.

Yeah not really sure why its got a pinkish hue in the pic but in person theres no pink, and as far as rough on the cheek thats only an illusion as the paint is actually made up of 4 different colors so it gives it alot of depth making it look rough but in comparison its no more than my McMillan stock.

How much was that Walnut skeleton stock?

I ask because if it’s $300 or less, then it makes more sense to buy the tactical model and also order the walnut stock (assuming you want the walnut stock). This way you pay the same amount of money and have an extra tactical stock that you can sell.

The stock was actually a used stock from a test rifle so Steve gave me a good deal.
