Q:

Finally figured out what was causing my TSS to be inaccurate

1. my GTBJ shroud may have been clipping. Before, I put in the shroud and rotated around until i didn’t see any “shadowing” and i tighten down the screw. That was WRONG! Because i later realized that when i tightened the screw, it would shift the shroud a little and it would shadow. Do I rotated it 180* where it would shadow, THEN tightened and the end result is that it’s clear when viewed through the breach.

2. FRAME FLEX. For fun I installed a laser… and the results surprised me because I could finally see the frame flex. If had too much pressure on the frame (via the bipod) and torqued it a little, the laser dot would laterally shift from the crosshairs… therefore indicating that the frame is flexing. Solution? Got rid off the bipod and now shooting with a bag instead.

Now it’s a one holer at 20yards. 🙂

hey guys i recon the tri rail adaptor probably helps stiffen them up

Put a good one piece mont om your scoperail.
Give more frame stiffness.

Also you can put a steel U bar around the trigger eara, a bit work but it helps a lot.

Here a pic. of the Xtra bit of steel , anti flex 😈

Need some work but I hope to have the CHUNKY rifle ready for my holiday .
Wooden grips , xtra steelbar, onepiece mount, U.I.T. rail for handstop and Turner sling. ( .25 @ 45 fpe 😀 ).

Yeah AF makes them fly now 😆 😆 😆

Your frame flew? 😯 😆

Now that AF has its’ own machining center, can’t they beef up the loading (breach) area??? It’s way too damed delicate! There is nothing there to prevent flex at all.

That’s a good idea to use the laser for that. I always wondered if they really did flex.

I mean, we know wok won’t shut up about it, but who listens to him anyway? 😆 😀

You always wondered? A laser is a good idea for that?

ADHD at its best 🙄

Hey now, I don’t have oh look at the bird! 😆

Glad you got it sorted!

I remember when people doubted the “frame flex” idea.

It is easy enough to remedy as long as you know it is a possibility. 😀

Its worth mentioning that the distance from bore to scope means a slight angle holding the gun will shift the POI left and right. Its like shooting a pistol from the hip rather than holding it at eye level.

It is a known fact Airforce frames will flex a bit!
