Finally got to chrony the AA S410…..
So, after my standard 4 cups o’ java, turned on the chrony and aired up my #1 best gun I’ve ever owned (that would be the AA S410) and tested some pellets for velocity and FPE..here’s how it shot…
Crosman 14.3 HP 22 shots, hi=892, lo=825, hi fpe=25.2 lo fpe=21.5
JSB Jumbo 15.9 20 shots, hi=862 lo=811, hi fpe=26.2, lo fpe=23.2
JSB Jumbo Hvy 18.1, 22 shots, hi=825, lo=740 hi fpe=27.3, lo fpe=22.0
The Heavy pellets, though having a higher FPE number don’t seem to feed as well thru the mag..The 15.9 work great, as do the Crosmans. BUT, I do have a single tray loader , which works fabulous BTW, and I can use it for hunting..Am going to get an RCMachine magazine also…I’ve read they are near PERFECT !! ANyhow, there’s what my new toy is capable of…BTW, that’s with 190bar fill, shooting down to 110 bar.
Considering that as a carbine. it has the smallest available air reservoir 181cc, I’m happy with shot count and fpe output. Short tube /barrel keep weight and length down. I may however change to the Classic air tube, as it will fit and still be shorter than end of shorud..it would give about 60cc’s more air.
I traded my Dominator for this s410, BNIB !! I feel like I REALLY got the best end of the deal..No, it doesn’t have a regulator or a huge reservoir or 60 shot strings, but there’s just something about it that takes all the lumps outta my gravy 😎 😎 😎 The trigger is indescribeably smoooooth-, it’s under 7 lbs.with scope, 36 inches…everything about it is perfect for me..Even the shoulder pad is better..i tis actually made of soft rubber that you can feel compressing…NOT that rock hard so-called recoil pad you get on most guns….have not found one thing that I don’t like…..that is RARE with a new airgun, at least for me..

Adam..is your classic still factory stock, or have you done any performance mods???”Bout the only things I want to do to my Carbine are the two I mentioned…..and it honestly doesn’t even need them!!!! In afct I may just go with a Classic tube, to get another 10 shots, and not even bother with a regulator.
Joe, surely I can get away with the nice soft pad on the S410…I had a WOK-but on my TSS, and I made one (a PAK-BUT) and put on my AS2250 conversion, cause it DOES look so cool..I just mentioned the S410 pad cause it’s the first airgun I’ve seen with one that is actually MORE comfortable, instead of LESS..The pads that come on some of them are very bit as hard as if they were made out wood, or steel !! 😥
