Finally spent some quality time with the Edgun.
Well, Saturday I finally got some quality shooting time with my new R3 Edgun standard .22cal. I started chrony and check how many shots per fill. I got 75 shots at 890fps-910fps using a 18gr. JSB. No fliers , just kept packing them in one hole at 50yds. I adjusted the trigger and mounted a Hawke 6-24×44 1/2 mil-dot scope on it. I have done nothing else and I’m not going to adjust anything. I’ve very happy with the shooting performance. It’s a Keeper.

I don’t plan on adjusting mine either. It is shooting solid. I haven’t done a full shot string but I know it is shooting good based on the a first shot chrony of 910 fps and a 70 or so shot chrony of 896 fps.
I also adjusted the trigger a bit. I don’t like it too light because of safety issues. My gun is shooting at 47ftlbs and I don’t think it’s a great idea to have a hair trigger on a powerful gun. Right now, it’s good enough for me. I don’t have a guage, but I would say it’s around 1.5 lbs for the second stage let off. The only gripe I have is the first stage. It’s heavy. I may eliminate the first stage later on.
Other than the trigger, I sanded down the height of the brass breech seal a bit. It helped with the bolt engagement and closed the gap between the tube and breech. I think that the .25 cal only come with the brass ring because of the extra power. I may be wrong.
