Finishing up the AA S410 FAC Carbine
Well I got tired of sanding after finishing it off with OOO wool.
Before

I probably removed close to a hens egg amount of wood from the inside of that skeleton area.

I had a hard time finding BirchwoodCasey walnut stain and had to buy an entire kit to get the stain.
It is a splendid little rifle, it shoots so damn good, and the tether system works great on it giving probably 500 regulated shots @just under 35 FPE.
I am still tempeted to put a walnut stock on it, Pyramyd has them for $280.00. I also explored the idea of putting a 1022 Ruger Tapco stock on it, I would have to enlarge the barrel channel from .920 to 1.20, then put a Magpul adjustable butt on it, but again that would hit $300.00 and over.
Some views of the rifle and it’s new home.
After

Upper half of the vineyard, the right hand corner of the lower deck is where these pictures were taken.

For now it will stay as it looks here.

Roachcreek
