Here in El Segundo we are covered with ashes !

How do you guys think the fires happen?
Fires are a natural occurrence and before we moved in all that brush and dead vegetation would have been cleared out long ago. Why arent all those crazy CA folks making those firefighters stop trying to put them out?

Not to worry. We have it on good authority that area of the country will fall into the Pacific and the fires will be quenched.
Wasn’t it the natives that named the area valley of smoke or something like that??
That’s the bad part. If it was just woods burning it wouldn’t be a big deal. It’s the fact there are people and houses in those woods.
Someone definitely starts em everytime. This weekend was 2 seperate fires in the same day about 50-60 miles apart not too long in time apart. Every year this crap happens. I feel for the folks that lost there homes and lives.

OOOH theres more. That fire started on the opposite side of that mountain. Chino Hills and the OC is WAAAAAAYYY WORSE, just look at the news. It’s crazy.

When I woke up today, my truck was literally covered with ashes!
My talon ss and talon in a drawer and in the garage were also dusted.
I believe the wind shifted to on- shore so now the red sky and ashes have gone bye-bye.

You would to ask our famous moderator, but i would say chino is about 30 – 45 miles from here and yes the ashes and smoke filled the sky .

Our fire chief always says toaster or coffee maker when they dont have a clue as what started it..he told me that himself on a fishing trip one day..
