First Blood

HAHA…They are hard to find and one great spring gun. My setup works pretty good for FT and the rig weighs alittle over 11lbs.

I bought the Condor,after reading the adds for over a year.I honestly thought it was hype. I saw the Airforce products stay on the market,and excel to the Condor. Bought the Condor .22 cal. about two yrs. ago. When I filled the tank(overfilled the tank) took it out back and “click” “clunk”well! I had chosen! this gun over many others,so I decided keep trying!.After a few more “clunks” I watched the video again,nothin there.I’m hard headed! At this point I’m ready to ship it back!I started checking out how to return ,and found that ,you can’t ship a charged bottle. The method for dis-charge ,as you know, is couple of dimes. I proceeded to de-flate tank, and said “shit”this bastard ain’t gonna beat me! I took the partialy drained tank back outside,and got a full power shot(had to go clean my shorts) Wow! The next week I put my favorite Beeman Kodiak .25 cal. on the Yellow,sold it quick, and bought a .22 SS. I miss the “pretty” of the Kodiak,but not the wt. or cocking effort.

Everytime I think about buying a springer I start to think about, Scope breakage, scope mounts moving, spring breaking with heavy pellets, diesling,
having to move a large lever to cock the gun, loose stock screws, a jolt evertime I shoot.

I love pulling the trigger on a PCP and watching a hole appear in the target while I watch through the scope. And doing that 40+ times before I need to do anything else.

With all that said, I still would like to own a HW97….nostalgia. Kind of like owning a car you still crank by hand…lol

That’s great news, Don! How did you find the transition from Springer to PCP in general? When I got my first PCP (also a Talon SS, or at least the UK version) I found it to be some kind of space gun compared to the crappy old Springers I was used to. I’ve had other PCPs since, but I can’t imagine ever going back to a Springer now, to be honest.
