First problems with cricket
So yesterday a friend and i decided to go out into the woods behind his house and whack some tree rats.i had a choice of which gun i wanted to use between the edgun and the cricket, i opted for the cricket yesterday, (the reason being, ive shot it more than the edgun so i feel more comfortable with the scope.)anyways we go out into the woods, i load up my magazine, and within a few minutes we spot a couple of squirrels i cock the trigger on my cricket shoot and drop the squirrel at 45 yards no biggy. a few minutes later we spot a few more squirrels same thing i cock the rifle go to shoot squeeze the trigger and ???? nothing. w.t.f i cock the trigger the magazine is rotating, but the lever doesnt stay in the locked back position. as i pull it all the way back it just pulls itself back forward. so i pull it back all the way again ,and close it. and try to fire another shot and still nothing w.t.f after another few failed attempts i noticed after squeezing the trigger it does not return to its normal forward position. so i help it out and assist it by pushing it back with my fingers i grab a pellet and try to cock the gun and wahlah. the lever stayed in its cocked position i loaded a pellet and fired it with no problem, but noticed the trigger did not return to its right position i tried cocking it again and no luck once again after i push the trigger forward it cocks fine but, if i dont help push the trigger back to its rightful position it wont cock.now im pissed off. anyways i finished off the day hunting and pushing back the trigger as i fired each shot totaled 7 squirrel 8 starlings it was awesome all shots were offhand no resting on anything, furthest shot was about 75 yards not bad the rifle is def a shooter
well today i decided to take the rifle apart and do some investigation, i played with the trigger and seen through a little hole in the housing that there is a latch inside the housing that isnt catching because the trigger never returned to its position the screwdriver is pointing at it in pic for everyone to see. so after further investigation i seen the the spring pictured is what causes the trigger to go back into its original position so i started playing with the spring, and seen that the spring is being held in position by a snap lock ring in one of to slots, and figured that the spring may have weakened over time,4 months W.T.F so i pulled the snap ring off and reinserted it in the other slot putting more tension on that spring (position shown in the pics) decided to cock the gun and presto working without a flaw but by moving that snap ring from one slot to another it also makes the 1st stage of the trigger pull harder than what it was not by much but you can def feel it so now ive got to find a similar spring some where this sucks,4 months come on. less than 1500 pellets. flimsy ass spring. any one else run into this prob or any other problems 🙁

The older edgun R2.5 that I have suffered from the same issue but the problem on mine was the stock, there is a bolt holding the stock to the trigger link just behind the trigger & with time it seems that the stock shift a little to the side & stops the trigger from returning to its position & therefore it wouldn’t engage, a quick hit on the stock & it works, I eventually fixed that by sanding the stock a little near the trigger & no more issue, I’m not sure if this is still the case with the newer guns.
It’s not a big deal & I wouldn’t call it a problem rather quality control maybe.
I have many rifles & I can tell you at least one issue with each.
Nothing is perfect, period…
