Q:

First time back in the workshop in months

Well, decided to get my mind off some things and get down and dirty cutting some metal.

I decided that I wanted to implement my 2000psi ExpertHPA regulator and 48ci HPA tank. But it had always been too fat to be able to look through the scope.

So I decided to make myself a crude E-tacReg looking thing. Not as finished, detail as the real one, but will suit me fine.

The front is a bit strange, because I was using my last piece of steel 🙂 But, this brings be onto my question.

Do I thread the front of it to fit into the gun, and then machine it to hold something similar to the condor valve internals and have it as a high shot count, lower power, high consistancy set up, and have the big bore valve for the high power?

Or, thread the internal to take any AF style valve and put the big bore on there to give maximum power from the 2000psi reg?

Im kind of thinking the first one, but need some opinions.

Oh, and does anyone know the volume of the e-tacreg?it would give me something to work off for velocity estimates.

That’s a good idea, what I was thinking was threading the front, and then make a valve that would thread over the front and allow a larger regulated volume and allow for easily swappable valve stems for power changing.

Also, The front smaller OD part is just just under (I think, might have just been the chamfer) the dimension needed for the tank collar.

I do still like the fact that I can dismantle it and fit it into a small case.

Thanks for the input though, and still might go with your idea after some more tought on the matter.

Why don’t you remove the tank mount collar then you can machine all valve components into the adapter and have plenty of valve options and chamber volume
