well the “rougher” part comes from the fact that when i made the breach the surface in side that slides along the edge of the barrel is rougher than i wanted but when i had that handle on the stock plastic breach it was smooth as silk and let me use some rediculous spings in their do drive the hammer with which is how my stock plastic breach was buggered up.. and sorry about hijacking your thread Joe 😳

Ah you didn’t, I found exactly the advice I was after, cool gun by the way! 😀

Subsonic,

I used to make museum quality 1880 gun leather. I stitched it by hand copying it from a book called “Packing Iron.” I loved to do it, but the years of hand stitching gave me arthritis in both basil thumb joints, one of the reasons I don’t reload, I think years living wiht a Dillon 550 helped it along.

So it looks like it might be easier for me to manuever that breech back and forth, even tho you say it is more difficult, it might afford less leverage on my sore joints.

Either way it is a nice looking peice of gear.

These guns really are a money pit, but boys will be boy’s and have to have our toys.

Roach….it is a little rougher to cock the gun but I can now do it with just my right thumb which is nice when in the prone position and I can de-cock it in the same fashion …yes I can make parts for sale…but I don’t have any more breach o-rings at the moment…oh and I did pick up a few more fps with the new breach..

Probably a better reply to my comment would be,”because I can.”

Subsonic, how did that new breech and handle affect performance, ie., is the weight the same and the friction the same as the derilyn breech and handle?

It realy looks nice, which of course is also another answer to my comment about the flash hider.

Do you make such things for sale?

I don’t understand the need for one, sort of like sunglasses on a cloudy night.

But I do love the looks of that bolt you have. Is that one of the Mosin Nagent bolts Subsonic? Where did you come by that?

Reduces Muzzle Flip

Counter balance for distant shots.

Adds Muzzle weight.

Adds less than 2″ to the total length of your AG.

Just looks cool…

I just like when a new friend see’s my (pellet gun for the first time) thinking its a toy or a B.B.gun) you open up the case and they say……….”OMG WTF!?”

We have all had that feeling 😀
Then we let them shoot it………………… :4 :4

I should have mentioned that the AR breaks require a 1/2-28 thread and the bolt handle and breach are ones I made….
