Q:

For those of you into long range shooting

If you’ve been shooting long range or are just starting out this video has a bunch of good tips for posting those tight groups at long ranges. This will especially help those of you who are struggling to get good groups or your groups are spread vertically or horizontally. There is much more information on how to catch nice tight groups but this was just something quick that is stacked with good info.

That video is great information, I guess I was mostly aware of those things but it is in a subconscious kind of way but I for one need to make it a conscious effort every time. It will make me do a better job for sure.

just use the button “youtube”

Thank you sir I’ll remember that for next time

fixed your video but the url inside the and it will show up in your post instead of just a link

A VERY Good point Lead L.! And thanks for posting this! 😀

Yeah for sure with practice sometimes comes haste after so many repetitions. It’s good to sometimes come back to slow down the pace to tighten up the groups at the longer ranges. But knife I’m sure a lot of people into air gunning are the grab and go type to start. Who need the basics because people’s parents aren’t teaching that anymore to their kids

Got that Right Tof! The reason I said basics, these techniques were taught in BoyScout marksmanship back in the 60’s. Who knows if that is still done now days.
But with all the Anti gun Crap these days, I kinda doubt it. 🙁

I saw a vid. of Potterfield, Owner of Midway shooiting supply showing how to properly sight in a scoped rifle. I have seen a LOT of Vid’s showing how to properly (supposedly) sight in a scope. And his Vid was the FIRST I have ever seen where it was done correctly. (I watched on from BB pelletier (Tom Gaylord), and damed every thing he did in the Vid was dead nutts wrong!)

Great video.

Basic or not, we all need “REFRESHERS” every now and again to keep us on the straight and narrow

Yep, good stuff! Basic, but often over looked basics. 😉

Great video! Loved the bipod shooting tips. :4:

Especially shooting from a fixed axis like a bipod. A forearm is more forgiving if shooting offhand but only if you could hold steady as well as off the bipod. That shift that he talks about horizontally and vertically is something I’m sure a lot of shooters experience. They will have a nice tight one-two hole group and than the next group at separate target is a string of 4 shots in a line. Which will certainly be hell for someone shooting in no wind conditions and thinking wth!!! Especially trying to sight in a scope for someone new to long range shooting.

Thanks for posting that. Good information all around.

So many people do not understand the mechanics and techniques needed for shooting tight groups and then blame everything but themselves.
