Q:

forearm position

Is there any reason why I could’nt drill & tap a new hole further foreward for the forearm on a condor?

Ha, that’s funny… New here right? 😆 😉

What is it usually used for? Spare mag holder on an AR or something? Airsoft for holding a spare load of bb’s? Never seen it before.

I’m just new in general. My version of ignorance is bliss.

Here’s a link on this silly thing: http://www.empirepaintball.com/paintball-marker/empire-bt-4-m-16-clip-fits-all-bt-4-series-markers/

I stumbled onto it entirely by accident and thought what the hell- maybe Hoot will rail on me (badge of honor!).

Requires a weaver/picatinny adapter for the stock dovetail rail. The cheap ass adapter I used has a thick profile so I shaved a bit of the plastic down inside the mag-well slide using a utility knife. The whole thing weighs very little as it is made of plastic and is easily removable. The magazine releases from the well just like the real deal and makes a nice little springy-click when you mag pack it back in. Mounts very solid so one could use it as a foregrip on it’s own.

I keep asking myself how much added weight is all that??? The PCP’s are already so darn heavy as it is.

on a vaguely related topic(storage), one time i tossed like 5 pointed pellets inside the bolt, under the cover. about 500 shots later, i had 5 177 round balls… 😯

I like it adds a scare to it.

scaring the shit out of squirrels! it’s storage. the mag slides out of the mag well and splits open. has brackets for allen keys but I want to put some closed cell foam inside for holding pellets. or maybe I’ll just put a small ziploc bag in there to hold the pellets loose. just goofing around with it- don’t tax my gig so hard crus-ter.

WTF is a firearm/airsoft magazine doing on that Talon pistol?! 😯

I’m with C-Rex on the foregrip, if you have never used one you’d be surprised with the support it gives. And you can adjust it.

Put a dovetail to picatinny adapter on the bottom rail and get a folding foregrip. Mounts wherever you want it and you don’t f#@$ anything up.

I have such a setup on my TalonP and my TTT.

btw…

maybe consider a full length maddog stock.

check talontunes. tony may just have what you need.

ive never heard of one wanting to go further forward with it. i actually positioned mine closer to the trigger.

but if you must, may i suggest trying to use the rear-bottom barrel mount hole and give the forearm screw double duty. you may not even have to alter the screw.

if thats not far enough, you can either tap a new hole, or re-examine your hold… 😕

Since you would be drilling in the middle of a slot, its best to use a small end-mill as a drill bit tends to flex and your hole will be off center.

This means a mill, or drill press should be used.

Other than that, a foregrip further forward could cause more flex in the frame depending on your hold.
