fpe?
Can somone please explain what fpe means in terms of power.
i only use ft lbs and dont know how to translate the two.

FPE = Foot Pounds of Energy = Ft/Lbs
I belive that FPE refers to Foot Pounds of Energy…

With an AF rifle in the US with, a high flow tank, a low flow tank, an aftermarket heavy hammer, a stock AF hammer and weight, a Power Wheel, a 24″, 18″, 12″ barrel, and an assortment of pellets with different weights, the range of fpe would be somewhere around 13-70 fpe…
I would say on the low end with a low fill pressure, Crosman premier 14.3gr pellet, using a Talon tank, stock hammer, PW0, and 12″ barrel, assuming the fps was 650 the fpe would be 13.4.
Condor or Talon with high flow tank, heavy hammer, 24″ barrel, PW12 would shoot a 28.4gr pellet at 1,048fps which is 69.27fpe.
