Front Breech O ring !
Today I realized that the front breech oring on my condor has never been lubed. Unless from the Factory. And that was several years an thousands of rounds Ago?
The back breech oring is lubed quite often. Smear a paper thin coat of divers silicon on the barrel and or top hat. Open and close the breech, back breach oring lubed, not front. If the back breech oring seals correctly, How does any lube get up to the Front breech oring.
Am I missing something here, up to 3200 psi hpa or 1800 psi co2 is sealed between between them. The rear oring should wipe all the lube off befor the front oring gets there. A polished barrel even more so.
If any silicon does get there it’s not enough for the oring to seal properly or prevent premature oring failure.
So I took the co2 bottle/valve off and cleaned and lubed what was left with a Q-tip.
BTW my front breech oring is leaking and will be replacing both soon?

Oil will make it’s way up there to the front o-ring. Both from the residual oil on the barrel and the blast of the air. They should both still be replaced every now and then. It’s not hard to do and they’re not expensive.
