Fully threaded, push fit bottle collar
I posted a thread a while a go mentioning that a fully threaded collar where the tank screws into the gun and having it push fit.
Well I did that today, the original collar was 1.009″ and then one I made from 303 stainless is 1.011″ It is a light press fit.
I also added a flange so that when screwing the tank into the gun, it pulls on the flange, and sandwiches the frame between the flange and the valve. This means that there will be no more elongated holes where heavy hammers and springs are trying to fire t bottle out of the frame. It will also eliminate the wobbly bottle syndrome I had a while ago.
Because of the radius in the bottom of the breech, the collar doesn’t fit as it should, I will probably just mill away the bottom of the flange so that it can sit properly.
Now for the pictures.

Thanks for looking
Dave

Pab, There is one for you free of charge next time I grab some stainless. Check out my other thread to see what it is like after getting rid of the bottom part so it fits correctly.
I can work off your existing bottle collar, I just made the new one 2 thousandths bigger and it is a perfect fit, I have to push it in exactly straight, any canting at all and it won’t go in
