I never emptied the air tank, always filled to 160-220 bar. DO NOT ever fire the Revo without a filled air tank ! You will ruin the trigger reloading mechanism ! I don’t even remove the tank from the gun to prevent this from accidentally happening. Some new owner dry fire the gun when they first received it thinking it’s okay to do, don’t fill it first thing !!! If so you will need to send it back for servicing it’s a finely tune piece of work and very hard to work on let alone get new parts from Sweden.

If it needs a barrel cleaning I remove (unscrew) the shroud cover, it easier to run patches through with it off anyway. After since I’m already in there I clean out the shroud with a rag and or Q tips wet with denatured alcohol. After I shoot about 4000 pellet I will do a thorough cleaning in addition to the above I mark off the barrel where the shroud begins with a piece of tape on each, and mark off the rotational position also. Loosen the two hex nuts on the top of the shroud and you can pull it straight off the barrel. The elbow on the bottom of the shroud has a short rubber tubing connected to it will slip right out of the return tube beneath the barrel. This is meant to be floating and easily wobbles it’s suppose to be that way, some owners think it is loose and broken, it’s not. I then clean out the return tube with a cleaning rod and patches slightly moisten with denatured alcohol. Wipe out all excess condensation from alcohol with dry patches. Clean out elbow area the same way and return shroud to the tape and marks made earlier.

I own a FX Revo 22 cal for about two years now, and had no problems what so ever ! Minimum maintenance on the gun mostly cleaning the shroud and return tube every 4000 rounds or so, don’t use lube pellets. The ST barrel I clean it with Otis bore clean and when or if the accuracy falls off I just run a patches through a couple of times with denatured alcohol only. The gun is all that you pay for and more. It’s my favorite among all my PCP I currently own. IMO all guns have their pros and cons the Revo to me has the least amount of cons, at this moment ….Polymag don’t fit in the mags…..? Extremely accurate, about 1/8″ more that my Edgun Matador 22 cal at 50 yards distance with 16 and 18 gr JSB. The Revo seems to like JSB 16 gr (@930 f/p/s) over the 18 gr (@890 f/p/s) and my favorite Polymags do not fit in the mag it’s to long, max length to fit mag is .38″. I bought the single shot tray for the FX 400 and use that instead of shaving the tip down on the Polymag like some owner do. If you are thinking of getting one I recommend you get extra hi scope mounts to clear the mag and the scope mid joint. Like the Soportsmatch HTO71 is for 30mm tube dia and is extra hi. I’m using BLKs hi mount is a little to short so I have to place the scope on ether side of the mag to clear scopes mid joint. Extra mags the gun comes with only one, so order 5 more. Some extra breech seal o rings, this seal will also fit the FX fill probe, it’s the same size. Fill to ~220 bar after 6 mags used that’s 72 rounds down to ~170 bars. Don’t shoot below 150 bars, it will cause the breech seal to blow out. A very common mistake among new Revo owners is to keep on shooting, this gun is fun and hard to stop. Then they tinker around for weeks to mouths trying to figure why the gun stop cycling ! In the proses even ruin the gun and then ship it back, never knowing that the breech seal is missing.
