Q:

FX T-12 Whisper Mk 2 – Accuracy disappointment

Looking for suggestions…

Purchased new Whisper .22 from AOA with ST barrel but Pellets seem to go left then right of target every few shots…with a wider spread as distance to target increases. After reading the forums I have tried the following:

1.) Make sure pellets are dry (not lubed or oiled)
2.) Clean Barrel with cleaning Pellets
3.) Try different Pellets
a.) JSB 16g
b.) JSB 18g
c.) JSB 14g
4.) Remove Barrel Clamp
5.) Try different Scopes (and rule out Parallax)
6.) Carefully observe remaining fill pressure for each round of shots

Still getting random right and left shots…what am I missing??? …what else should I try???

Water Jet Cut!

Foam looks nicely cut !

HEEEEY WOK, HE WAS THANKIN ME….lol

Seriously though, glad you got it fixed. Gotta love them shrouds and baffles and LDC’s. Sumbitches always causing clipping issues.

Your welcome πŸ˜€

Of course, I could not have done it without Tofazfou…oh no wait…haha

Actually, I tried every single suggestion…including checking the barrel tightness. I actually discovered that the transfer port (where air enters the barrel) was not properly aligned with the gun. Not sure how much that matters since there are O-rings…but just something discovered in checking the gun.

In reaming out the barrel shroud end cap…I noticed that more material was removed from one side than the other….some of the paint on one side was not disturbed…indicating that the hole was not straight to begin with.

Thanks for All Your help!!!

Damnit, they beat me too it. I’ll say it anyway as if I FIGURED IT ALL OUT!!…lol.

Dude, you have CLIPPING issues. Remove the shroud, then shoot a group without the shroud. If groups are greatly improved, YOU HAVE CLIPPING ISSUES. Damn i feel good about myself for single handedly fixing your issues.

Too bad these other guys weren’t smart enough to figure that one out….lol

LOL, LOL, LOL,

WooHoo! πŸ˜€
Good to hear! πŸ˜‰

T-12 Whisper shot great without the shourd cap…so reamed it out slightly and put it back on…it looks like that may fix the clipping.

Also took most of the preload tension out of the magazine to reduce risk of distorting the pellet skirts.

Shot well from 10 yards, 25 yards and 35 yards…not totally sure we are good at 50 yards. More testing tomorrow.

Very nice rifle, hope you get it sorted out.

Going to try this to check for cliping…what are the steps needed to correct?

the easiest thing to do is just remove the shroud cap (if possible) then try another shots. it happened once to me.

ooops 😳 😳 😳 😳

My bad

UH, SAW, the FX Whisper is a PCP from Sweden πŸ˜‰

Not to be confused with the Gam-blo Whisper. πŸ˜†
