FYI Selphb/Blod valve owners.
I have only ever used the Blod valve with about 0.118 of top hat AS PER BLODS INSTRUCTION. This requires the use of a flat faced breech. I’ve seen you guys over there with the top hat wound right out to use with a standard AF breech with the well. I thought I would try this and see the results….
What a pile of poo!! 😯 Certainly no increase in power, fps is all over the place compared to what it can do, and it uses shit loads of air!!
Would be interesting to see some feedback from the guys who have one of these valves, with what breech etc….

I filled the breech to make it flat like yours set the sephb’s valve to 0.118 filled tank to 3000psi used a .25 25g jsb and I got 440fps. took out the breech filler put on the condor valve 3000psi .25 25g jsb and got 1050fps
there has to be something i’m missing, i’m using a 21″ .25 cal barrel blod spring, spacers instead of power wheel ( no preload ) 50g hammer
He was an original member of TOG, declined to come over to TAG.
I take it Denskin is not a member here? Too bad. I wish he was.
The Condor valve was pretty much all or nothing – 45 FPE for 15-20 shots. Same as a stock condor but with the lower power of a 12″ barrel.
I’m doing better with the blodnob valve, I find I can adjust it to be pretty consistant all the way from a few fpe to close to 50 but still no where close to what denskin was getting from his valve setup.
My SS has not been together in a while, but is getting close so I will be tweaking it some more and then posting groups – hopefully soon.
Milled it off like I was told too originally and problem fixed.
I have my top hat distance very small and run a slightly heavier hammer (bit lighter than a combined condor weight + stock hammer) and stock spring and get decent number of shots and decent power (35fpe I think). More shots than I could get with Condor valve.
sounds good YN, any idea what the condor valve was giving you?
remember the TOG posting by Denskin of his 100 shots at 30fpe per fill?

Looking at the pictures of sephb’s valve at the top of page one, the top hat appears to be the same as my UK/Blod one.
This is a standard AF breech with the well filled in to make it flat faced.
This is the top hat setting on the Blod valve..
Same amount of travel tho’.
Ah. I thought he said they were exactly the same except the burst disk.
Guess he forgot to mention the tophat change.

Ole Denskin was a riot. Full of drama and rants and often made Voltar look polite.
He had a brain tumor and went down with the sinking ship of the TOG.
I see him post on the Yellow now and again.
We are a rough crowd here and it is not for everybody that is for sure.
