Wow, at only 4.5 and 5.4 grains who cares if they group well, maybe they will stack in the barrel like a modern Blunderbuss.The Platinum can also speed the destruction of rifling and the blue polymer tip PBA probably the same. If this stuff flies the next step may be GAMO’s new invention of ultra smooth bore Mach II barrels.

I think the people that were ripped off were the folks at predator pellets.
Interesting that they’re now blue instead of red. I know that the Predator folks had sic’d the lawyers on Gamo about the issue. Wonder if the blue tips are because of the legal fight.
Yep, they definitely know how to catch the eye of the inexperienced airgunner. Velocity, velocity, velocity, 25% faster, 30% faster…Platinum alloy, PBA ammo…blah blah blah.
Sorry but, a 4-5 grain pellet at extremely high velocities (way above supersonic) absolutely has NO APPEAL what so ever in terms of downrange performance.
Look at this as i copied this quote directly from the GAMO website:
“Each pellet type is tested through actual firing of random lot samplings. If a lot groups outside of 7/8″ of an inch at 10 or 25 meters the entire lot is discarded”.
Did you guys catch that? the key phrase is “….outside of 7/8″ of an inch at 10 or 25 meters….”.
So they are saying that 7/8″ of an inch at only 10-25 meters is exceptable to them and there standards. We normally say that an airgun that shoots that way at 50 meters is unacceptable. Not 10-25 meters.
