Gander Mountain rant

So I had some time to kill at lunch and I came across a Gander Mountain, so I strolled in to check out whatever airgun stuff they had… I was impressed when I came upon their pellet selection. Not all-encompassing by any means, but it was a sight for these sore eyes, which are used to feeling lucky to see a single sorry tin of 22 Daisy wadcutters for sale at WallyWorld.

Ready to do a little stocking up, I grabbed a tin of Predators off the peg and took a look at the price tag.

$19.99 !!!

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! Needless to say, I put the tin back and went on my way.

How can PA be cheaper, even with shipping cost, than a Mega retailer?

I think I already know the answer, but the episode reminded of the basic caveat in sales:

“Price, Quality, Service… pick any two.”

There’s just no gettin’ around it. 🙄

Cabelas is almost as bad, i think they want $17 for them

Yeah, I was there today. I don’t buy ammo from them. The reason they are so expensive is somebody comes in and sees it, goes and looks for it cheaper, and NOONE else sells it. So they figure that’s the best price they will get and buy it there.
