Garolite G 10
Has anyone turned any of this stuff. I’m interesting in making a light weight hammer for my 2560 project. I know it tough stuff not sure how hard it will be to cut with carbide.

I’ve sawed it plenty making throttle body spacers and intake manifold spacer for my mirage. Just never turned any of it yet. Used some for scales on a old 10$ gerber folder that melted between the runners on my turbo manifold lol.
Sharp carbide will cut it just fine, but be very-very careful of the dust. Wear a good respirator.
For all it’s high tech fan fair, it is really just very fine grained fiber glass made under very high pressure.

ran across the pos gerber cleaning up the garage. i had also tried my hand at a oak and brass wire wrap scabboard lol.
