Not a problem bro. I started out with springers also but rarely shoot them anymore. I guarentee a condor with the shroud will be quieter than the magnum springer. I was just thinking about that yesterday on the way home too. I have a 350 mag in 22 that has been tuned to the tilt for silky smooth power but it is LOUD. I think it would make a good comparison to turn my condor down the 23 fpe and shoot the same pellet as the 350 and do a sound comparison. Im really wondering if i can get my condor down the the ambient sound levels and what power it would produce at that level. Some people are asking about what shroud to use on a 19 fpe gun. Thats yet another fun part of these guns. 5 minutes of adjusting and its a completely different gun. Different washer under the tophat or changing out the restrictor in the tophat is all it takes.

Stay tuned! Ive got almost 4 days off in a row and the wife is working. Gotta get my penetration videos knocked out also. So far i have punched holes in the wifes old pots and pans out to 30 yds. If weather permits i will go out to 65 if it gos through at 40 and 50. Was also thinking of putting the chrony behind the pan to see if i can catch the velocity after the slug gos through the pan.

This has turned into more of an obsession than a modified bb gun build. :8:

Thanks for your reply, onebaddj! Hey, I’m going to write your email address to a file and keep it on my computer, in case you want to edit that out …or not. Me, I’m not after Coyote (I was when I was younger), but now I’m just shooting animals that are a threat to our garden. Sometimes I see woodchucks (groundhog) that are 200 yards out and will be gone if i try to get closer. So a 200 yd+, quiet airgun would be just the ticket. As I mentioned before, I’ve been shooting powerful (relatively) spring (gas-ram) piston airguns for many years, now. My Hatsan 135 in .22 shoots JSB 18.13s at over 30 fpe and can keep 5-shots in 2.5″ at 121 yds. (from a bench.) Here’s my first ever PCP gun: https://www.dropbox.com/home/Airforce?preview=microlite3.jpg and it will do what I want out to 100 yds or so …I think. I haven’t received my pump yet (4500psi with dry filter.) BTW, as I understand it, this little Talon-P bullpup has a Condor valve in it, but the tank is tiny, of course. I’m considerng a TT shroud for this gun, too. Thanks, again!

I am using a stock valve with the tt qc top hat. I am looking into a ttcf tank with tank adapter to see if i can increase the velocity of the 50 g slugs just a little.

Shoot me an email at onebaddj@gmail.com if you have any set up questions. I have shooting notes for years. Let me know what your looking for and ill look it up in my notes.

Thank you for your reply, onebaddj! That’s quite the setup that you have there. Yes, I’m trying to figure out exactly what I want/can-do. The 24″ barrel in the Condor SS frame would not project very far past the endcap. I was thinking that the new Gen-6, 9″ shroud would do the trick, with that setup …but what you did may be the better way, instead. Are you using the stock valve or one of the expensive ones offered by TT, R&L or Doug Noble ? I’d really enjoy seeing you shoot this thing at paper targets out to 100-200 yds, in a video, to see what it can do, if you are interested in such a thing. Thanks, again!

I have the 24 in barrel on my condor and there is 6.5 inches going into the shroud. I would imagine the shroud would still work. Are you running a condor ss? My shroud is 14 inches total. I threw in a vented barrel bushing today and ran some more shots threw it. I dropped about another 1.5 db is all. At 40 fpe the shot itself is 88 db and the impact is 114 db. So the impact is alot louder than the shot now. Bone stock no shroud it is running 123-125 db with the same setup. The gen 6 shroud dropped me almost 40 db which is a ton. Somebody clapping is more noticable than my gun now.

I have also run about 25 shots through it at 3400 psi with no issues. Accuracy is top notch and im blowing through 1/8 thick steel pans at 30 yds and the gun is still very quiet. 110 db. At that pressure with no shroud its over 130 db and the meter will not pick it up.

This tt shroud is impressive and all the proof is in my videos. Well worth the investment. Attached is a pick of my setup ready for the yotes. Sits at the foot of my bed in front of the fireplace so as soon as i hear those turds i can pop up and out the back door.

I have a question, onebaddj. So how much barrel length on your setup is inside this shroud? And if I had a setup that only projected 1″ past the endcap, would this shroud work with that?

If anyone has any question about this shroud hit me up i am running one on my condor and it is nuts how quiet it makes everything! When i was doing all my testing i took it out side and shot it with 3400 psi then went back in side to make sure the gun was working properly because of how quiet it was. Gun was working fine. 90 fpe and quiet enough i am not worried about the neighbors hearing it. With out a doubt the best shroud i have seen and used. With the gun set up for 40 fpe you hear the hammer hit and the target get hit. Thats all.

Awesome work tony!
