Getting a Talon SS, How to Set Up and Operate?
Hey guys, I’m super excited for receiving my Talon SS in about a week. I’ve read the manual already but there are some things that weren’t covered. Because the SS only has a 12 inch barrel, it makes sense to me that having it at full power would just waste air by sending it after a pellet that has already left the barrel. What power level works well for the SS? I wish I could be accurate about it, but I don’t have a caliper to measure the top hat or a chronograph so I’m just looking for some ball park numbers.
As far as post-shooting procedures, what do I do after my last shot? Can I just unscrew the tank when I’m done or is there more that I have to do before putting the gun away? Also, can I leave the tank screwed in as long as I have not loaded the breech and cocked the gun? Most of the time when I see an garden pest I can shoot I don’t have time to screw in the tank.
Thanks,
Patrick

Most guns do not like a 3000 psi fill. It wont hurt anything, but your valve will not open fully, so your velocity will be less.
