Q:

getting the most out of 25 cal condor?

First off Im new to the site and new to condors, I just purchased mine about a month ago in 25 cal. I have taken a bobcat and lots of rabbits so far, I am planning on using this rifle for coyotes sticking to head shots. Is it possible to get 100fpe out of it? and what mods do I need to get there? I polished the valve already but did not port it. other than that it is stock. thanks for any help. I have a chrony coming soon, so I have no clue what my fpe are now using barracudas.

Looks like when I get my chrony I will be buying some slugs, thanks for the help on this one. I will be getting a heavier hammer and spring also, thanks again.

I can get right at 92 fpe with the 7 ring, and 100 with the 9 ring. I have a 21″ bbl, so yours will probably do a bit better. 😉

I now have a heavier spring and hammer, but have not tested it with this combo and Jerrys slugs yet.

You will need a heavier hammer, a slight bump in hammer spring and a little messing with the valve will get you around 110-115 fpe with 70 gr slugs.

I shoot them out of my chocked barrel and they work fine.

If you want to make more you will need a valve. With a valve you can get up to 150 fpe.

Depends on how far you want to go and how much you want to spend.

Can I shoot these slugs from a factory barrel? I am wanting to build it for coyote calling rifle so anything around 100fpe to 110 fpe. Will I need a diffrent valve? heavier hammer? or both? Im willing to give up high shot count for power if needed.

You need to shoot Jerry’s 6 or 7 ring slugs to make over 100 fpe.

Depends on what you want to do on how much power you want to make. There is a lot of options.
