Good pull through cleaning system?
Anyone know of a high quality pull through cleaning system?
Trying to clean my katana rifle the other day almost.. was not having too much luck with rods.
Ive looked at ottis.. they had one for .22.. its like $10 dollars.
Not sure.. if anyone knows of one let me know.

I use the thick Heavy Weed Eater cord. Heat one end and mushroom shape that end to hold the patch. Sharpen the other end to push through center of patch. I used a short length 1/16in of brass tubing to reinforce the mushroomed end. A brass ink pen refill was just the correct size?

Alot of guys use what Pab uses and works really well, next time I am cleaning it is what I will use, I used a rod last time but the pull method is the best no harm to anything at all. If you are looking for a good one you can buy they sell bore snakes at Cabelas and other places but I have seen them on the Cabelas web sight and know some that use them, they have a soft brass brush built into the fabric and work well, I have a freind that has one for his shotguns and likes it 😆

Boresnakes are about as good as it gets.
I use heavy monofilament fishing line.
Double it and and insert the looped end into the muzzle, feed it into the barrel til the loop comes out the breech end. Slip the patch into the loop and pull it thru. (just like what pab said with the weedwhacker line).
Its easy to make and easy to carry in the field.
If you need to get past baffles, insert a drinking straw into the LDC.
Mac 1 sells a rope pull with a handle and a small metal hook to get the rope on guns like a career 707. Works good I have a couple of them. The are made by Jack Lewis
Strimmer cable (weedwhacker) doubled over and pushed through. Then attach a piece of swatch and pull back through works for me.
