got me a new flashlight
first i got a cree q5 it was good….then the cree s or r5 came out, it was better, i forget….lastly the p7, a “quad core” led able to output up 900 lumens…allthough most of these sold in asia are more like 600-750 lumens….powerful and affordable, about 30$ for a flashlight with this sort of led….

heres a costco flashlight and my p7 flashlight….one can do 180 lumens, on 3 AAA’s…the other uses 18650 lipo and can do 700 lumen or there abouts
but what if you want more…well…google had a brain bleed and was passing these suckers out…
more to come…i cant wait for it to get dark….this thing is nuts…comes with a RG-2 warning….

How do you attach it to your rifle?
seems like theres a new kid on the block lumious sst-50 up to 1200 lumens and sst-90 up to 2500 lumens…all from a single led…as will all lead the flashlights are kinda spendy still
but for a solid 2500 lumens you can get a good one for 180 bucks…not bad
kinda of funny years ago i thought a 6 cell maglite was the best of the best…when it came to lumens…and today you can get a more powerful flashlight the size of tampon LOL
there are many P7 flashlights…i wouldn’t call them knock off….they do use the P7 led, the big difference between the flashlights are
1 build quality….is it made nicely, and does it have good heat transfer from led to housing…can you use it as a baton ?
2 what bin is the led….P7 comes in several quality bins, some doesnt do much more than 600 lumen, where top of the line will hit 900 lumens…also color varies among the leds…..its very hard to tell what you are buying from sites such as deal extreme…most people dont have the option of measuring lumen to confirm….they just think “wow powerful”
3 battery options, you will need at least one 18650 lipo battery, only lipo can discharge fast enough to supply these powerful leds with the power they need, two should actually be needed to keep voltage high enough for maximum lumen
4 some of the flashlights comes with circuitry able to boos the power of the battery to needed levels….theres many variations
5 tail button modes….some come with on off, where as others can come with up to 10-12 functions….i find these mostly to be a gimmick…its darn annoying to have to go through 12 modes to switch it off….plus you have to find the mode you like…it really means a lot clicking to get to the desired mode…fun to play with…not so fun in reality
build quality wont be as good as some of the domestic brands…but does it really matter when they cost 30$ vs 150 from a respectable brand ?
honestly just about any P7 flashlight will be powerful, since they are…even if you get one with say 600 lumen, vs 900 lumens, 600 is still quite a bit !
cree’s answer to the p7 is the mce led….so compare prices…the mce is not as powerful as the full potential of the p7 but its not far off
heres a demo of how well they can light up a room, by simply shining it at the ceiling….my god this lfashlight is powerfull, it allmost brings the room up to daylight levels
I just ordered up one of those P7 lights. It seems that most of them come from overseas. Do you think that there are knockoffs out there? I was also wondering what I can use to mount it under the barrel of my TSS in front of my harris bipod. I have seen different tactical mounts but aren’t they all different diameters or are adjustable?

this thing is a monster…it doesnt have a switch, but rather just a machined piece of aluminum in the butt with a spring on it…to turn it on you twist the tail cap, or depress and hold the button
this thing came with 4 tenergy lipo bateries, the handle is of thick piece of aluminum, Four Cree MCE LEDs

its not that its much brighter in the center than my p7 led flashlight…my cree r5 led is very bright but very focused, p7 has same brightness but illuminates so much more….and this firesword well the flood is insane, it lights up my whole yard, no problem, it wont shine super far, i think you will need a laser flashlight to surpass this thing, but this here will will certainly blind an assailant, bear or what ever no problem…also fry your eyes if you look into it LOL

a weird thing tonight was the amount of particles in the air…wonder what thats about…..after illuminating the yard i could people getting out on their balconies, in the apartment building near by…and someone was doing something near their container…once the light went on…everything in that corner went silent…hmmm
this thing is brutal…not that heavy but looks like it would hold up should you need to hit some one

these babies sell for 400 bucks…insane…but they also have a 12.000 lumen version for a nutty price of 1500 bucks !!!
should you be interested in a flashlight like this…i bet there will be a shitload of them on ebay next week….i think most people will prefer the extra cash vs having an insane flashlight
I WONDER….why dosnt it have a real switch, with different modes…this one can do 1000 and 3000 lumen but you have to move a jumper under the lens…not that smart imho…and strope function where the 4 leds would cycle…, or single led ilumination, low 200-500 lumen modes etc…this is really back to basics tail cap/switch
but its fucking cool HEHE

simple….most of these flashlights have a 25 or 30mm housing…just get a scope ring mount it in that…done….get a scope ring with quickrelease, and you can take off and on when needed
some of the flashlights are so small that you mount the head in the ring or the times its the handle….
if you havent bought the flashlight yet i can tell you that….
my spiderfire P7 flashlight (powerful as hell in a small/medium package) is 24mm…a litlle electrical tape around the body might be needed for it to fit
my google lightsword wont fit….well with some modding it will…see the tuping is very thik…so one could machine it down in a single place to 30mm without loosing too much strenght….
ultrafire 502b flashlights they come with many different led’s will fit a 1″ (25mm) ring too
costco flashlight is 28mm, so a couple of layers of tape will have it fitting nicely into a 30mm ring
so scope rings work for more than scopes
even maglite sells a flashlight holder made up of 2 c rings….drill some hoels in rifle and mount them with self tapping screws and then you can have a maglite under the rifle….kinda looks like a grenade launcher
maglites are great if you want to use filtered light …like red
many of the more powerfull leds can now be had in a color too
now if your using a cheap 1st gen nightscope…like the ones found for around 350-400$….then theres a 3w IR flashlight…or you can just get the drop in module for a regular led flashlight like the surefire 6P…..this IR modules is powerfull….well if you have nightvision…cause its IR and you can see anything but a dim red dot….but through a night vision scope it will light up the target like your shining a Cree R2 led light at it (r2 is a narrow beam 220-270 lumen led…it throws light far !)
