got my RWS48 and put in the Vortek kit!!! also need help
Well i got my rws48 today(new to me anyways, it was an r stamped gun from another forum member)
so i ran a string with it to see numbers these strings were shot using cp’s 14.3 grains from walmart and i noticed some fit tighter than others so the spread could be better im sure!!
stock form and after i installed the Vortek PG2 kit

the numbers after i installed the vortek kit and deburred and lubed were shot over chrony after i shot 5 shots to clear the smoke
now for the questions
i cant cock the gun all the way unless i hold the trigger when the cocking arm is fully extended
do i have to pull trigger befor i install it in the gun?
or is it supposed to be engaged when i reinstall?
i have gun apart now and just need to put bac together so it will cock with out haveing to pull trigger
tomorrow ill do some accuracy testing
but this thing went from a buzzing sound when fired and pretty harsh cycle down to a nice solid Smack from the vortek kit
the cycle is so much smoother and it just plain sweet!!!!

might be something with the safetey? It is an auto on.
Sounds about right to me for the 177, the pellet you are shooting is quite heavy if you shot 7.9’s I may wonder then.
dont know about the kit.
My .177 M. 48 shoots 850’s with 9.5 grain pellets, wonder if the power is down some.
yeah 850 in .177 seems low
its so simple to take it apart and see if the spring is tweaked or broken. id give it a try
if it is broke i can send ya the spring from my gun it was near perfect when i took it out
the vortek kit came as a whole(spring,guides,seal,lube)
also tom told me end of the month the 48 kits will be ready
cool no more truck hood slamming huh.
dont know about the kit.

Thanks for the offer crow, but it shoots great, so i hate to mess with it. it is in the 1015 to 980’s fps range with the 7 grain pellets. and like 1100 with the 6 something grain rws hollow point.
The crossman hp on the left is a pellet i have never tried in the 48 until recently. it shoots it in the 980’s
