Got the lathe installed.

My god, from 10am until 5pm, who would of thought. It took us four hours to drill four holes into the floor, burned out a Bosche hammer-drill and one bit. Then lifting the lathe on an engine-hoist was a blast, it wouldn’t reach and we had to swing-and-drop it onto the stand. Bolted it on, job done.

I’ll post some pics in a couple of days.

Oh, and it did it’s first job while it was still on the pallet. My brother’s new silencer (16mm ID) wouldn’t fit his new Talon (16mm OD) so I mounted a knurled socket-wrench handle into the chuck and fed the silencer onto it. That took an hour, but it worked. Quality craftsmanship. 😆
