Q:

Grabbed the Cricket 22 Compact today, and it became a leaker

I started airing it up and it started leaking above 150 bar and leaked all the air out back down to 150 bar, seemed wierd for it to have a threshold other than no leak or fully leak all the air out ?? Is this common… Air coming out the fill port.

I think HOOT put a plug into it!

Where is Hoot: when we need some expertise about grabbing leaky things? :fishing:

Ride, that fill check valve oring need to be replace and that screw sealing surface need cleaning, I seen some that was so dirty and leak and some time that screw backs out enough for it to leak. takes about 5 min to fix that leak.

I was on my way to suggest exactly that :biggrinn: Happened to a Friends .22 a while back.

You know both of the orings leaks i had in all of my guns were like that. My Air Ranger would drop and hold at about 1000 psi from a 3000 psi fill. My first P-Rod went down to about 300 psi and held there.

I have a cricket and it has been solid from day one. My friend has a compact with the exact problem you have. He bought Ernest’s O ring kit, replaced the O rings and the gun has been perfect ever since. I think the factory O rings are a little cheap.
