Q:

Greetings ya ignorant mutts!

My scuba tank valve has no adjustment for speed of air release from the time I crack the valve to full open. If I crack it open, move it 1/16th” that sucker is almost at full open.

Is there any device that I could put in-line to slow the air release into the rifle? It seemed I read about a “regulator” that fit between the fill valve and the rifle that had some air flow restrictions properties, but can’t remember where I saw it.

I know there must be an answer on this forum. With thousands of members, you can’t all be stupid!

With kindest regards,

Wish more of us could say that.

Anywayz, especially on an AA air chamber, fast fill is dangerous and/or expensive to fix. Yeah, the steel is hard, but it’s thinner, lighter and lower volume than many. I’m kind of surprised the s510 itself doesn’t slow things down, given the smallish entry port. Does yours have that T-lock setup?

Get a new valve or fix the seal(s)! God knows what will happen if you ignore it and work around a failing valve…those red pantaloons look like they’ll hold a lot of piss. If ya really want to live dangerously, crimp the line with a big C-clamp and get someone you want to get rid of to test it.

If you would address your remarks to this newer post:

http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23223

you will be richly rewarded with new information. I’m hoping Jim can come up with something less expensive than $300 per unit.

I’m hoping for something that simply snaps between my female QD on the fill hose and slows that air down before the other end snaps onto the male QD with a 2nd female QD connector.

Try the new link above and we’ll continue this. I’m sure something effective and a lot less expensive can be made.

Shirley you don’t expect me to pay $300 for Joe’s “regulated DIN valve setup that would work….except it has NO yoke connection counterpart for us normal non-din divers. I’m surprised he didn’t set it up for a “Pilot” valve!

Yes yes yes…..I know….don’t call you Shirley.
