Steve unfortunately we’re not allowed to hunt with airrifles here in SA but we are allowed to do pest control on certain species. Living in a country where we grew up hunting, the restrictions placed on us is ridiculous to say the least. We’re also restricted to .22(5,5mm) as our largest legal caliber before we need to start applying for a fire arms license. The
stupid part is that we can buy .25cal ammo over the counter without showing any paperwork as one would with a CF.
However we do have a panel of dedicated hunters who are working on legislation to allow us to hunt a larger variety of game-we’ll see if how successful that will be.
