Q:

Grip advise needed. (rubber slip over type)

Is there a known replacement for the TacStar rubber slip on grip model # 1081265 designed for the front grip of a shotgun that can be used over Airforce rifle grips.

I would also be interested if someone has a suggestion for a different slip on grip model that works good for there Airforce rifle. Pics are always appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone still looking for a slip on grip solution, this one works well with no modification, no heat shrink or adhesive. found it for under $10 on the bay.

quote Coilvoice:

I purchased a Hogue model 17000 grip and it doesn’t even come close to fitting. It has a massive inside diameter and can spin around the handle with great ease. When in place, there is a huge gap between it and the AF handle. I guess the fit tolerances could be better, as it seems to work for some of you. Back to the drawing board.

Maybe I can heat it up with a hair dryer, or heat gun and get it to shrink. I’m not writing this to complain about reccomendations, as this could very well be a quality control issue, but rather to save others time, money, and frustration when crossing this bridge.

Maybe the Handall Jr. would be a better fit?

+1 I on what GTBJ said. I can’t recommend Adam’s WokGard 15 enough. Recently got mine for my 10 year old stock Talon SS. I’m using it with a Ergo Suregrip (soft rubber pepple texture overmold with finger grooves, palm swell). I just cut the extended web portion down level with the top of the grip with a razor blade. Tons of options for AR15 grips.

Extremely comfortable offhand, on the bench, and prone.

Thanks for the suggestions, words of wisdom, and links. You guys are amazing and I can’t thank you enough for making my project move along so much faster. Take care. 😉

Coilvoice, do your self a favor and talk to Adam and get one of his a-r adapters along with a grip you like…. otherwise you’ll just end up wasting coin on something that will be replaced soon 😉

went from this…

to this…. 100% improvement ❗

the uncle mikes small pistol model from dunhams is great for me…
