Q:

grip finished, final pictures

well, after reading a few posts regarding grips, finding and modifying other grips to fit gunpower/airforce guns, i took a little initiative of my own, and have started this

a little bit more resin, some sanding, priming and painting, and it should be done.
i bought a couple of tubes of epoxy resin from maxwells, are there any pros and cons of using this, what do yous reckon so far?
i’ll keep yous posted. cheers

Very nice. Good grip definately makes all the difference.

Yep thats how ya do it. Very easy to shape to fit, since it was made with your own paw.

Very nice, good job!

Fits like putty in the hand! 😀

i’m glad you like it, it gives a whole new feel to the gun, and handles a lot better, and it only cost 8 quid so far

Lol, thats 10x better than it should be considering the simplicity!!

Spot on mate, proper nice 😀 😀 😀

i just tried to smash, chip and scratch a bit of scrap with a hammer, chisel and knife, and its pure diamond like. finished almost, just contemplating what to actually dress it in now, not bad for an evenings work eh, am reet flippin chuffed.

i’m definitely erring on the edge of hydrographics

Starting to look good mate 😀
Reckon you gonna have to make sure you got no fine edges or owt to avoid bits getting chipped off and stuff..

Nice one 8)

well progress is good, since sandable after 60 minutes, i can play alot more, changed plans a bit too,

so nearly done structually, i’ll think long and hard on the finish. what is plastidip? dipped in plastic? its sound good, and maybe what i’m after, i was thinking of hydrographics. a truly bespoke piece

cover in plastidip or spray with bedliner would look great

well it can be used to replace or repair metal, so hopefully it does well, i have a back up incase it doesnt though

Seems like a bloody good idea. Be interesting to see how it stands up to use over time. 🙂
