Group valve order cancelled…
When I first offered to do this, there was perhaps 25-30 valves that I knew of, and we were under the impression one size fit all.
That got complicated real fast when we determined different sizes were involved. The orders began to flood in right after my original post, and the thought of helping ten or twelve forum members became history.
New orders are still coming in, but cancellations are coming in as well. This “Order” will never come to a closing point, which means this must become an ongoing venture.
It’s up to $2000 now and goes up and down almost daily.
The forum members would be better served by ordering their valves direct from Tony. I don’t believe one person trying to act on behalf of this many people is advisable. Too much money and too much time and risk involved.
If there is an individual out there who wants to invest $2K in valves for resale, a markup in price might make you a buck. My bet is that the forum members will simply order direct from Tony than pay a fee for someone else to do it for them.

I can understand you situation completely. Investing in 2k-3k dollars in the valves and people canceled on you and now you are stuck with all the valves. That is not good, besides Ernest is producing an all metal valve that may work and lasts a lifetime.
I like to take on the group buy thing again, but not sure if you guys still trust me to tackle the problems that could arises.
1. Different calibers will require different lengths.
2. Members can cancel.
3. Valves can break in transit,
4 lost in transit.
5. Ernest is making all metal valve.
How much can one markup to cover for lost and damage provided that zero Mark up for profit.??? So can I see how many members are still in on this? For me, I would love to have one or two valve rod for each of gun guns, regardless…

Thanks for trying. It might be for the best. It looks as though Ernest is well on his way to producing a metal valve that could last for the life of the gun. My guess is that if tests prove it reliable it will be a must have for every Matador owner. No pressure Ernest but we are all counting on you.

I don’t think I it would be too much to ask to make it a pay up front, no refund unless you don’t get your valve as some point, kind of deal. I wasn’t involved in the order so its no big deal to me, but if someone else was going to take it over, I don’t see why asking for the money up front would be an issue. Seams like that would prevent do many people from ordering and canceling.
