Q:

gueSS what showed up today?

Well she finally arrived. I purchased a SS .22 with an extra barrel in .177. I followed some of the quieting advice and stuck that in. ( See pics) I was lucky enough to get a Wokbutt and installed that as well. ( thanks Adam)
What a sweet little gun. the scope is a Center Point 6×32 AO with green and red illum reticle. This scope sure looks like a Leapers if I ever saw one?? Who ever really makes this scope does not matter much to me. It is light and compact and that’s what I want right now.
Shot a little with the .22 and had good results and then installed the .177. So far so good but need more time to see how accurate this little black beast really is!
Camo to follow. Enjoy the pics.

Awesome. I remember my first SS. Was almost a year ago.

Congratulations on a fun toy!

I hunt only with 6x and plink and target shoot with higher magnification. In fact if someone wants to improve their hunting accuracy on major improvement comes with decreasing mag under 6x.

That is experience talking.

I cleaned up for a while before I took the pics and if you see how messed up the stuff is in the first drawer, you would retract the neat freak idea.

Interesting how this post has brought up scope preferences. I know guys who only hunt on 24x all the time . I have a 2x7x32 that finally got me over the idea of needing all this mag for shooting. yes punching paper is harder but I seem to knock down the critters on low mag just fine. Low mag also makes the amount of drop less in mildots, kind of easier all around.

i found the leapers 4x bugbuster scope to be quite fine for cokecans at 87 yards…of course its not as easy as it is with a higher magnification…but for hunting, i usually keep my scopes as low as they wil go….

whe i used my tasco 2.5-10x scope on my aa410 it was at 2.5x most of the time…for biggest field of view and easy target aquiring.

up to about 6x is all i need for hunting….

but of course if yor sitting in one spot waiting for a ground squirrel or something simelar to show at a known spot then magnifiction is nice to have…and ditto when shooting paper targets

toddx nice SS, and that work bench looks bad a$$. You may want a bigger with more power scope later for the long shots at small things 😀

Dont be shy. Show it off.

You are going to love that little gun, although you might find yourself looking for more magnification. What distance are you planning to shoot, or hunt?

Yeah the scope is a low mag. I am not sure how far I will hunt from, it depends on the SS and my abilities. Most of the time locally I get shots under 50 yards. When I go to the desert and hunt it is 50-100. 6x mag gives you quick aquistion and unless you are shooting little dots on paper, you can see your quarry just fine. If it does not work out I will trade the Legend 5×15 off my springer. [/u][/b]

Look at that sexy bench with the cylinder poking its head out like a prarie dog. That’s too cool. Show us some pics of the bench, if you don’t mind. Thanks for the great idea with the bench.

Here are some pics of the “Goffice” ( Guns + Ofiice) You will see in the pics that I reload for centerfire as well. I have the reloading presses mounted on butcher block so they can be removed for air gun work ect. Another picture shows a view out my window with a table top in front of it. That is my little shooting table for plinking into the back yard. I can get up to a 35 yard shot any time of year and sometimes a 50 yard shot in the winter when plants are lower.

Sweet!

Glad you like the Wokbutt! I like your picts and am going to use them later. Great looking gun.

That Center Point Scope is a Leapers. They make scopes for a few companies.
